Failover Task Cannot be Processed
This article applies to all JSDR software versions.
Problem
In the task log, the Failover task displays the following error:
Failed to retrieve internal network IP Address of DR Virtual Appliance VM. Timed-out waiting for IP Address
The VMs at both the primary and recovery vCenters may not be visible.
Solution
The problem can be caused if the wrong network was specified in the "Recovery VA" menu at the time of failover or if the selected network has a DHCP lease issue.
To resolve the issue:
Restart the failover process from the recovery side vCenter.
Carefully specify the correct network names on Step 3 ("Recovery VA")
Replication Network to Object Store
Host (IO-filter) to DRVA Data Network
Management Network
Important: Accurate and complete information must be supplied for each of the network input fields.
