Planned Failover Issue

Planned Failover Issue

This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Issue

After initiating planned failover (PFO) an error with protected domain ownership may be encountered.

“Failover” is typically used in response to a disaster event where resources should be deployed to the recovery site and VMs recovered immediately.

Cause

This may be an ownership problem caused by the protected domain currently being used by the other site.

  • Be sure to validate the primary and recovery sites to fully understand their configuration and ensure no conflicts exist.

If you encounter this problem and are unable to resolve it, contact JetStream Support for assistance.
