This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Update DNS IP

  • Log in to the MSA as root

    • Modify the file /etc/resolv.conf

  • Restart the MSA to make the modification take effect.

Update Hostname

  • Log in to the MSA as root

    • Modify the file /etc/hostname

  • Restart the MSA to make the modification take effect.

If the MSA is part of a production environment with protected VMs, modifying DNS IP and hostname should be avoided.

Before making any changes to the above files, be sure to verify the current status of the MSA.
