This article applies to all JSDR software versions.
When a is protected, the status will be “Initializing” and later change to “Initial Sync” and finally to “Recoverable.” During the “Initial Sync” phase, the amount of background data for each VM will continue to decrease, which indicates background data is successfully being copied to the replication log.
The protection status changes to “Recoverable” meaning all data has been successfully copied to the object store. From this point, the VMs are fully protected against disaster.
GUI
Do the following to check the status of a Protected Domain using the GUI.
Log in to JetStream DR from the vCenter server.
Click the Protected Domains tab.
Select a Protected Domain from the list.
Look under Protected VMs to view details of VM protection status.
Log File
If you do not have access to the GUI screen but you can access the MSA bundle, current protection status can be checked by reviewing the log file /tmp/vme-sub2.log
