\uD83E\uDD14 Problem

A socket error may be encountered while creating the replication log on local or shared storage.

\uD83C\uDF31 Solution

Do the the following to resolve the issue:

  • Attempt a storage rescan on all hosts from the storage adapters, and try adding the RL again through the MSA GUI.

  • If issue persist check the jounal log for any error messages.

  • If any errors related to JetStream DR or the journal are detected, it is likely there is mismatch of the storage initiator/target configuration.

    • Check the configuration of all hosts to ensure they are accurate and consistent.

If using shared storage, this issue may be caused the the mis-configuation of a single host. Be sure to check all attached hosts and fix any problems discovered.
