A Failback operation will not go through when there is offline or faulty host exists in a cluster. 

Error Message we encounter.


This Issue could occur in different scenarios:

Scenarios 1:

In a Multi-node cluster, if one node is faulty then Failback will not start. 

Scenarios 2:

In a Multi-node cluster, all hosts are healthy but one node IO filter is unavailable. The failback will not start.

The Failback will be successful in the below scenarios:

Scenarios 1:

In a Multi-node cluster, all hosts are healthy but one host is in maintenance mode. The failback will work. 

Scenarios 2:

in a Multi-node cluster, one host is faulty and we replaced the faulty host with a healthy host. The failback will work.

Scenarios 2:

In a Multi-node cluster, if one host is faulty and we removed the faulty host from the cluster (remove from inventory). The failback will work.
