This article applies to all JSDR software versions.

Problem

The following issue may be encountered during the execution of the AVS command to install JetStream DR software using the run command Install-JetDRWithStaticIP. An error message "failure to get session ID” appears and no progress is reported even after multiple retries.

Solution

This issue can occur with invalid MSA credentials/IP or if Port 443 and 8443 is blocked. AVS Run Command systems must be able to access the JetStream MSA.

  • Check and unblock TCP port 443 and 8443 to resolve the issue.

Review port requirements for JetStream DR software.
