Issue

While installing JetStream DR software using the AVS run command Install-JetDRWithStaticIP, the error message “failure to get session ID” may appear without any progress being reported even after multiple retries.

Solution

This issue can occur with invalid MSA credentials/IP or if Port 443 is blocked.

  • Check and if necessary, unblock TCP port 443 to resolve the issue.

AVS run command systems must be able to access the JetStream MSA.
Review port requirements for JetStream DR software.
