🤔 Problem

This alert is only applicable for environments using Multi-path I/O configurations for RL disks (ISCSI). This alert is triggered whenever the system logs indicate path failures / one storage I/O path is degraded.

💡 Overview

When iSCSI storage in multi-pathing mode experiences degraded performance, users may observe:

 • iSCSI sessions timing out or dropping.

 • Slower data transfer rates / Higher than usual read/write time.

 • Frequent path failures or loss of connectivity.

🌱 Solution

 1. Validate the logs related to the provisioned ISCSI storage logs and looks for path failures

 2. If one of the Path is down correct the same and check the behaviour

 3. Look for any noticeable reduction in replication transfer speeds.

 4. Validate the network and ensure no underlying issues.

This issue is most commonly encountered when RL disk’s is configured as iSCSI with multipathing, which is most likely used only in on-premises setups. AVS rarely uses or not directly support iSCSI disks in multipathing mode.
