If we revert a snapshot on a protected VM, the protection will cancel. This usually appears in JetStream DR 4.1.x versions

In the new version starting from 4.2.x, this problem is taken care

If we encounter this issue we should see an Email event similar to below screenshot.

\uD83C\uDF31 Solution

  1. To prevent the cancellation of virtual machine protection, the user has to stop virtual machine protection, execute a snapshot revert, and then start protection.

  2. Re-protection of the VM is required if we hit this alert
