This article applies to all JSDR software versions.
Problem
A socket error may be encountered while creating the replication log on local or shared storage.
Solution
Do the the following to resolve the issue:
Attempt a storage re-scan on all hosts from the storage adapters, then try adding the replication log again through the MSA GUI.
If the issue persists, check the journal log for any error messages.
If errors related to JetStream DR or the journal are detected, it is likely there is mismatch of the storage initiator/target configuration.
Check the configuration of all hosts to ensure they are accurate and consistent.
If using shared storage, this issue may be caused the the mis-configuation of a single host. Be sure to check all attached hosts and fix any problems discovered.
