Issue

If the JetStream DR plugin does not show up appear in the vCenter server after successfully installing JetDR and logging in to vCenter server.

You might see below error while checking client plugin or while enabling the plugin.

This could happen if there is any issue with DNS so lets verify vCenter server IP and FQDN registered with MSA is reachable.

InfoTry to register with IP and FQDN seperately to isolate if issue exists with only one so potential issue could be resolved with DNSJetStream DR software (MSA UI is accessible for vCenter registration), the following error may be encountered when checking the plugin client or while attempting to enable the plugin.

“Error downloading plug-in. Make sure that the URL is reachable and the registered thumbprint is correct...”

Solution

This situation typically occurs if there are issues with DNS.

  • Confirm the vCenter server's IP/FQDN is registered with the MSA and is accessible to the MSA.

    • Address any problems discovered then check the vSphere Client Plugins screen to verify the JetStream DR plugin is properly deployed and enabled.
