\uD83E\uDD14 Problem
This alert is only applicable for environments using Multi-path I/O configurations for RL disks (ISCSI). This alert is triggered whenever the system logs indicate path failures / one storage I/O path is degraded.
💡 Overview
...
.
Alarm
This alarm signals failure or degredation of a storage IO path in a multi-path network configuration.

Info |
---|
This alarm only applies to environments that use iSCSI multi-path IO configurations for replication log disks. |
Symptoms
When iSCSI storage that uses multi-pathing mode exhibits degraded performance, users may observe:
iSCSI sessions timing out or dropping.
Slower data transfer rates / Higher or higher than usual read/write timetimes.
Frequent path failures or loss of connectivity.
...
Resolution
Validate the storage network and ensure there are no underlying issues with it.
Validate the logs related to the provisioned ISCSI storage logs and looks for iSCSI storage.
Search for any path failures
If one of the Path is down correct the same and check the behaviour
- Look for any noticeable
.
Search for any change or reduction in replication transfer speeds.
Try to identify the
...
time and cause of any problems.
If a path is down or not operating properly, resolve the problem then validate that normal behavior has been restored.
Note |
---|
This issue can be encountered when the replication log disk is configured for iSCSI multipathing, typically only used for on-premises configurations. AVS generally does not use or directly support iSCSI disks in multipathing mode. |
