  1. If corresponding disk(s) cannot be found on the RVM, ensure the MSA is operational and connected. The MSA is essential to facilitate synchronization of VM settings between the RVM and the protected site VM.

  2. After resolving any MSA issues at the recovery site, it is necessary to either:

    • Re-protect the virtual machines containing the newly added disks.

    • Or, detach and reattach the new disks to the protected VM (JSDR version 4.2.x and above).

Note

Although If the recovery DRVA plays a crucial role in synchronizing VM data between the protected VM and RVM, it is important to note that any issues with DRVA will not affect the protection of the new VM disk.
Any issue with Recovery DRVA will report "error DRVA is not operational, newly added disks can still appear in the RVM. However, the DRVA must be fully functional in order for data to be synchronized between the primary site and the RVM.
